MPALA JENA CAMP, ZAMBEZI NATIONAL PARK

AN INTIMATE PROPERTY

Located on a private concession within the Zambezi National Park, Mpala Jena is an intimate property of just four tents, each with serene views across the shimmering waters of the Zambezi River.

The camp gets its name from a natural spring that runs through the concession, attracting a great diversity of wildlife throughout the year.

Mpala Jena Camp, Zambezi National Park

The surrounding area is roamed by buffalo, elephant and lion, as well as the more elusive African wild dog and an abundance of birds – especially between November and April. When you’re not watching for wildlife, you can set out on excursions to the nearby world wonder that is the Victoria Falls to marvel at its breathtaking cascades.

With only four guest tents to its name, guests of Mpala Jena can be assured of an exclusive experience. With their flowing canvas ceilings and open river views, each tent has an understated, Moroccan-inspired decor – a nod to the 16th Arab explorer’s who once plied the Zambezi in search of gold. Each tent has decking leading to a private plunge pool where tranquil views of the Zambezi await. The two-bedroomed Mpala Jena Suite is perfect for families or larger groups.

“FAULTLESS AND FUN”
We’ve just returned from a Danube cruise with Douglas Skeggs and Joanna Worsley, with a few days in Vienna beforehand – all brilliantly overseen by Emily. From meet and greet at the airport to every detail on board the Amadeus Cara, the organisation was seamless. We’re already looking forward to our next Escorted Tour with 91ºÚÁÏÍø.

“A TRIP OF A LIFETIME, PERFECTLY PLANNED”
Dear Claire, our trip was 100% amazing. We fell in love with Chile. I love how we were introduced to all of the different parts of the country. Our family was engaged in all of the fun from beginning to end. The lodges were just perfection. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I really appreciate all you did to make our trip a trip of a lifetime.

“TRIP TO THE TOP OF THE WORLD”
Everything about our trip was excellent. While it’s a considered investment, the service more than justifies the cost. We loved the accommodation – beautifully chosen and thoughtfully located. Our guides ranged from grear to truly exceptional. And the places we visited? They exceeded all expectations. Peru is an extraordinarily beautiful country, and this journey gave us a real sense of its wonder.
