VISUALLY AND SPIRITUALLY APPEALING RESORT

Don’t be surprised by the sense of spirituality and stillness you feel at Amanjiwo – the resort’s architecture and interior design was inspired by Borobudur’s 9th century Buddhist sanctuary.

Expect a great central cupola – reminiscent of the stupas found at Buddhist shrines – surrounded by a sweeping circular colonnade built from local limestone. Expect suites with private pools, garden terraces, sunken baths and breath-taking design. Just don’t expect anything humdrum or less than perfect. Sophisticated simplicity is the watchword here and the effect is a visual appeal that elevates your soul.

Reason enough to include Amanjiwo in your plans for a luxury, tailor-made holiday to Indonesia. But, of course, there’s more. Amanjiwo overlooks the sacred mountains of Merapi, Merbab, Sumbing and Sundoro. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Borobudur is nearby. Hindu temples dating back to the 7th and 8th century are easily accessible. The slopes of the Menoreh Hills offer clove plantations, tiny villages and rice paddies.

“SEAMLESSLY ORGANISED, TRULY UNFORGETTABLE”
The itinerary was spot on. Claire really listened and understood the kind of holiday I wanted – from the hotels to the pace of the trip. The team on the ground were exceptional: friendly, efficient, and always one step ahead, helping with everything from flight check-ins to tax-free procedures at the end. The guides were knowledgeable and genuinely helpful. I had an amazing time. Thank you!

“INDIA AT ITS MOST INCREDIBLE”
Unbelievably brilliant from start to finish. 91 gave us complete flexibility while tailoring the trip to our personal preferences. Communication was excellent throughout, and the in-country team in India was super-efficient at every stage. The quality of the experience was exceptional – and the value for money, remarkable. From expert naturalists to thrilling wildlife encounters (tigers, leopards, 140 species of birds), awe-inspiring temples, the Taj Mahal, scenic walks and warm, welcoming people – not to mention the fantastic curry – it was a truly superb holiday. “Ultimate” really is “91”!

“FLAWLESS, AGAIN”
This is the third time I’ve used TUTC. The service, as before, was flawless. Aside from putting in place all the major details of a complex trip to Japan, Dan at TUTC nailed every detail: train tickets were for seats with large luggage space (very important in Japan, as we discovered); a mobile internet wifi was included; together with a pre-charged use-pretty-much-anywhere travel card (again, important – Japan has multiple transport companies). For any kind of complex trip I won’t go anywhere else.
