UNIQUE GLAMPING EXPERIENCE
A glamping experience in one of the most beautiful and remote parts of Patagonia, guests can experience the true nature and mesmerising scenery of this part of Argentina, whilst having a minimal impact on the environment.
Opened in 2020, Chaltén Camp offers a unique glamping experience for guests looking to experience the wonders of Patagonia, away from a traditional hotel. There are four domes, which have been designed to minimise their impact on the surrounding forest, yet still offer offer a comfortable environment for guests. Each dome is approximately 26m2 and comes with a queen-sized bed, electricity, private bathroom and most importantly, panoramic views toward Mt Fitz Roy.
The heart of the camp is the ‘dining dome’ which has the feel of a family home, decorated with antique furnishings and with stunning views of the mountains. Guests eat together around the two dining tables and a simple Argentine menu is served. There is also a comfortable lounge area, complete with log burning stove where guests can enjoy a hot chocolate or glass of wine in the evening.
El Chaltén is a mecca for hikers, but Chaltén Camp also has mountain bikes for guests to use and other activities including rock-climbing, kayaking and salmon fishing can be organised too. The camp is nestled within the native forest, between Rio de las Vueltas and a massive wall of granite. Being two miles from the town of el Chaltén, means guests aren’t disturbed by the crowds and lights and can enjoy some spectacular star gazing and wonderful birdwatching due the day. In fact, the Los Glaciares National Park has 10% of all bird species found in Argentina!
