This lovingly restored 14th century Moorish residence lies in the Palmeraie, just a short drive from the hive of activity that is the Medina where you’ll find historical sites, lively souks and stately riads. From its Romanesque arches to its intricately-tiled courtyards, Ksar Char-Bagh oozes Ottoman-style opulence and refined comfort. Modern travellers are invited to relax amidst 10 acres of gardens scented with fig, olive and citrus trees.
The 14 suites, all with either a private garden or terrace, and one large apartment with its own rooftop pool, are impeccably furnished in contemporary neutral shades, highlighted with local and imported treasures such as hand-carved Syrian chairs and Persian carpets.
A beautiful palm-shaded pool stretches out from the main building offering respite from the midday sun, whilst the subterranean spa provides indulgent treatments revolving around Moroccan traditions. The hotel restaurant champions local ingredients including olive oil produced in the hotel’s own grove. Other facilities include a red marble hammam, gym and tennis court.
