A meticulously restored old merchant’s haveli, The Johri Jaipur sits right in the heart of the Johri Bazaar, which is famed for its jewellery. The spectacular building blends modernity with traditional Rajasthani craftsmanship, and is filled with vintage treasures and custom furniture by local artisans. It has a rooftop terrace overlooking the pretty pink city below, an intimate cocktail bar and a wonderful vegetarian restaurant supplied by the multitude of surrounding markets.

With just five suites overlooking a quiet central courtyard, The Johri retains all the intimacy of a private home. Named after a different gem, each suite makes for an enticing sanctuary, complete with painted frescos, rain showers and sumptuous beds. When you feel like exploring, you’ll be perfectly placed for forays into the vibrant old walled city. Return for a spot of chai tea in the Pukhraj Lounge, or an Ayurvedic massage in the treatment room.
