Spectacularly located, China’s first Six Senses hotel provides the ideal base from which to discover the natural, historical and cultural wonders of the neighbouring Qingcheng Mountains.

Inspired by local architecture, the resort itself resembles a traditional Sichuan village and sits harmoniously with the lush landscape. All suites and villas feature airy, cream coloured interiors and exposed wooden beams, and come with either a private balcony or courtyard. The spa is an unsurprising highlight, offering both signature Six Senses treatments as well as those inspired by the area.

Guests can lose themselves amidst the region’s most spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Sites, from the majestic Qingcheng Mountain (birthplace of Taoism and replete with ancient temples) to the Dujiangyan, an ancient irrigation system dating back to 256 BC. The Chengdu Panda Base is also within reach, whilst the surrounding mountains are home to picturesque hiking trails and small, atmospheric towns. Without leaving the grounds of the hotel you’ll be able to enjoy wine tastings, tai chi classes and lessons in Sichuan cuisine.
