You sit out on the veranda at Vakona Forest Lodge, a glass of wine in hand, and slowly you become aware of a strange sound.

It’s not raucous enough to be lemurs…then you realise you’re listening to a myriad of forest frogs.

You can expect this sort of experience at the lodge – it’s situated high on a hillside that drops down to a stunning lake. In fact, the lodge stands in water, on stilts, and is surrounded by unspoiled mountain rainforest. The perfect place to experience all manner of wildlife and see the indri; largest of all Madagascar’s famous lemurs.

“FAULTLESS AND FUN”

We’ve just returned from a Danube cruise with Douglas Skeggs and Joanna Worsley, with a few days in Vienna beforehand – all brilliantly overseen by Emily. From meet and greet at the airport to every detail on board the Amadeus Cara, the organisation was seamless. We’re already looking forward to our next Escorted Tour with 91��.

“FLAWLESS, AGAIN”

This is the third time I’ve used TUTC. The service, as before, was flawless. Aside from putting in place all the major details of a complex trip to Japan, Dan at TUTC nailed every detail: train tickets were for seats with large luggage space (very important in Japan, as we discovered); a mobile internet wifi was included; together with a pre-charged use-pretty-much-anywhere travel card (again, important – Japan has multiple transport companies). For any kind of complex trip I won’t go anywhere else.
