THE LYNGEN LODGE, OLDERDALEN

A TRADITIONAL PINE LOG CABIN

This family-owned boutique lodge, with its homely atmosphere, offers a wide array of guided adventures in the majestic Lyngen Alps and beyond.

The wonderfully remote Lyngen Lodge is a genuine year-round escape with each season bringing its own charms, from salmon fishing and glacier hiking in the summer to dog sledding and skiing in the winter. You can even witness Norway’s famous Midnight Sun, and the enchanting Northern Lights alongside the lodge’s in-house photographer.

Lyngen Lodge, Olderdalen

The lodge itself, a traditional pine log cabin kept warm through geothermal heating and a thick grass roof, is a charming base for exploring the region’s fjords, mountains and tiny coastal islands. The eight bedrooms are small but very cosy, with ensuite bathrooms and either a fjord or mountain view.

At the end of each day, guests gather in the communal ‘stua’ lounge and dining area at the heart of the lodge, an inviting space with its natural wood fittings and crackling open fireplace. Excellent food, beautifully prepared and presented by the Kitchen Team from locally foraged ingredients, is served around the large wooden dining table. Other facilities include a sauna and outdoor Jacuzzi (perfect for soothing aching muscles), a library, seminar room and fully licensed bar.

“TAILORED TO PERFECTION”
Our holiday in Thailand was superb – custom-built exactly to our preferences. 91ºÚÁÏÍø were super attentive, listening carefully to what we wanted and designing an itinerary and hotel selection that really delivered. Even while we were away, they responded quickly to a query. A brilliant experience from start to finish.

“FABULOUS FIRST VISIT TO SOUTH AFRICA”
Excellent advice received regarding our first trip to South Africa. We were given very personalised recommendations based on what we hoped to experience during our holiday, and the suggested lodges were absolutely fabulous. All transfers ran like clockwork, with polite and friendly drivers. From the beautifully printed, detailed itinerary to the elegant document case, luggage tags, and the informative app, every detail contributed to a sense of luxurious, premium service.

“FLAWLESS, AGAIN”
This is the third time I’ve used TUTC. The service, as before, was flawless. Aside from putting in place all the major details of a complex trip to Japan, Dan at TUTC nailed every detail: train tickets were for seats with large luggage space (very important in Japan, as we discovered); a mobile internet wifi was included; together with a pre-charged use-pretty-much-anywhere travel card (again, important – Japan has multiple transport companies). For any kind of complex trip I won’t go anywhere else.
