Its name implies ‘good sun’ and, indeed, if all you want to do is laze; soak up the rays and listen to the sound of the sea while you read a great book – the hotel does offer Bon Sol.

But there’s more. Much, much more. The hotel is family-owned and managed. Which means there is a level of personal service rarely found in larger chains. The Bon Sol has impressive facilities too. There’s a gorgeous beach, with water sports. But there’s also three swimming pools. There’s a beauty and health spa, plus a wide range of sports to choose from. There are extensive, semi-tropical gardens and a choice of excellent restaurants – from the traditional Spanish to the more casual conservatory, overlooking the pool.

This is the third time I’ve used TUTC. The service, as before, was flawless. Aside from putting in place all the major details of a complex trip to Japan, Dan at TUTC nailed every detail: train tickets were for seats with large luggage space (very important in Japan, as we discovered); a mobile internet wifi was included; together with a pre-charged use-pretty-much-anywhere travel card (again, important – Japan has multiple transport companies). For any kind of complex trip I won’t go anywhere else.

Every detail of our Patagonia tour was expertly arranged – from transfers and flights to the choice of hotels.
